This month marks 14 years since the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling that unleashed a flood of Big Money in politics. That’s why this Thursday, January 18 from 6:00-7:00 Central Time (7:00-8:00 p.m. ET) we are coming together to talk about what we can do.
For the past 14 years, billionaires and Big Business have been free to spend unlimited amounts of money to support tax breaks for the wealthy and weaker consumer protections, while preventing progress on issues like gun violence prevention, health care, and climate change.
We must end Citizens United and give power back to the people.
But while the movement to overturn Citizens United is growing, we still have a lot of work to do to break the grip of Big Money.
